Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to join Referral Book?

Circle Builders are offered an account for free. Circle Builders will be able to recruit Members to join their Referral Circle, and for each Member that joins the Referral Circle, the Builder of that Circle will split the first year’s Membership fee 50/50 with Referral Book.

Members can join a Referral Circle for just $60 per year! Imagine the return on investment that even one good referral will bring, and $60 for the entire year is a great deal. Plus, you’ll be able to easily network with fellow business owners in your area, and this can bring nothing but good synergy and exposure for your business.

How is Referral Book different than other social media sites?

Referral Book (RB) is for business owners who would benefit from networking to obtain a consistent stream of new Leads. Referral Book is NOT for the average social media user. The major differences are:

  1. Small Membership Fees are required to use our site.
  2. Members are required to submit qualified Leads on a monthly basis* or the account will automatically be removed from the Circle. If your account cancel’s for any reason, any membership fees will be retained by referralbook.com.
  3. Members are encouraged to share best practices, documents and even participate in Circle activities when possible.
  4. Once a Member has been enrolled on the site, the industry classification in which the business owner chose will be locked and no additional Members will be allowed to request Leads in that category.
  5. Lead activity will be tracked and results will be displayed to show the success of each Member and Circle as a whole.
  6. In addition to Leads, Members will have the ability to share best practices, documents and gain access to valuable business building tools only made available to Referral Book Members.
  7. This site will GENERATE LEADS! All you have to do is close the sale.

What is the Circle Builder responsible for?

To generate great results, having an active Circle Builder is essential. Our Circle Builders have the ability to setup the Circle with geographically centered around a specific ZIP code. Once the Circle’s home location has been set, it cannot be changed.

Circle Builders:

  • Can also set the Circle up as Open (anyone can join) or Closed (by invite only).
  • Can set up Circle meet-ups and events.
  • Can request to remove a Member from the Circle if the Member has posted inappropriate content or comments which can be offensive to other Circle Members.
  • Give basic administrative rights to another Circle Member who will encourage participation in forums and other Circle activities.
  • Keep the Circle active, are not required to pay to start a Circle and not required to give referrals to other Members. However, we highly encourage each and every Member to participate on a daily basis.

Should I start my own Circle, or join an existing one?

Well, it depends on a number of questions. First of all, although a Circle Builder is allowed to create a Circle for free, there are costs associated with starting your own Referral Circle. For instance, being a Circle Builder comes with the responsibility of keeping your Circle active, inviting Members who will be actively engaged in the referral process as well as helping others maximize their results. Commonly, Circle Builders are local business leaders, business consultants or coaches who have experience helping others succeed.

Joining an existing Circle is inexpensive and most business owners would be best served by finding an active Circle in their local area.

What is meant by ``Leads are required?``

  • Members are required to send at least one qualified Lead per month to another Member in the Circle to remain in that Circle.
  • A qualified Lead means that the Member accepted your Lead and Marked it as a good Lead.
  • Each Member account will allow one month within a 12-month period in which no qualified Lead was submitted. We refer to this as a “Vacation Month.”

Why are Industry Classification Circles used?

By allowing only one Member for each Industry Classification Circle, you can rest assured that the Members of your Circle will refer Leads to your business.

However, your involvement in Circle activities will significantly improve your chances of capturing quality Leads.
